Capt. Andy's Dinner Sail

The sail starts with a short briefing and introduction as we depart from Port Allen and head West, then North and upwind on the Na Pali (depending on the conditions).

Meanwhile our team of onboard chefs will get busy preparing the fresh meal. Unlike other charter boats, The Star is equipped with a full galley (kitchen) and bar. This means that the meal can be prepared fresh onboard instead of the standard practice of pre-cooking food.

On most days the Hawaiian tradewinds are blowing from the East, which makes for a perfect downwind sail once we reach our turnaround point. The crew's objective on this sail is to position the boat for a calm, downwind sail during dinner service. Once we reach our turnaround, the crew will power down the boat's twin diesels and hoist the massive mainsail and jib. Now you're set up for some sailing, relaxing and yummy food.

We time the sail to pull in at Port Allen near dusk, our goal is to return you to shore safe, happy and full.

Hanalei Bay, Kauai, Hawaii

A great place to be.

Hanalei has great beaches, rustic town with lots of cultural spots of interest.

Stand up paddle boarders like the long rolling surf break thats last for a long ride.

Winter surf is gigantic.

The St. Regis hotel has a epic view of the bay being located on the northern cliffs.

Great boat tours depart from Hanalei to tour the Na Pali Coast.

Hiking trails into the rainforest waterfalls are spectacular.

Home of many world class big wave surfers.

Probably one of my favorite places to be in the Hawaiian Islands.

Learn to Stand Up Paddleboard ..... Great Vacation Sport

Learning to SUP is a great sport when vacationing where there are water sports.
Stand up paddleboards are usually inexpensive to rent so you do not need to travel with your board.

It is a sport that is simple to learn and can be done with your travel partner for a nice "couple" adventure.

River Paddle Boarding is great fun because you can just "go with the flow".

If you find yourself in Kauai, I recommend AlohaSUPLessonsKauia.com.

Wherever you may be I would research and book some great SUP time for you.

Beach Landings on the Na Pali Coast by special permit only...

To protect the sacred beaches and valleys of the Na Pali Coast only 3 permits are issued to tour boat companies.

My favorite Kauai boat tour to book is the Na Pali Explorer.

They have a permit to land on specially designated beaches allowing our clients to visit ancient fishing villages and to hike portions of the Na Pali Coast.

Call me when it is time...... I will get you there.
